Our story is rooted in tradition, passion, and community.
Before becoming a restaurant, Kartoos was known for its pop-up food stalls at local markets and festivals. From Orchard Street Market at Gloucester Quays to food festivals across Cheltenham, Gloucester, Cirencester, and the Three Counties, as well as Christmas markets and vegan markets, we proudly shared the flavours of India with people from all walks of life.
Using time-honoured family recipes, handcrafted spice blends, and fresh ingredients, our food quickly became a favourite. The overwhelming love and encouragement we received from our customers inspired us to take the next step.
That support led to the opening of Kartoos Indian Restaurant — a space dedicated to delivering the authentic taste of India in a warm, welcoming setting. Today, we continue the same commitment that started it all: honest food, genuine hospitality, and flavours that feel like home.
